The poem is in Italian terza rima: the first two books deal with the life of Christ, the third states and resolves a number of doubtful points of Christian doctrine in the first four chapters, while the fifth is "exhortatio al Italia in soccorso de la fede" against the Turks, and the sixth and last consists of a "pianto et caso di Negroponte" (captured by the Turks in July 1470)
"Eiusdem auctoris pro eiusdem urbis laudibus Minerva heroico carmine", a panegyric in Latin hexameters on Venice as the chief bulwark against the Turks: [i]5-[i]8.
