Report of the chief engineer on the survey of the N.C. Railroad, May, 1851.

May 5, 1851 Report of the Chief Engineer, Walter Gwynn, regarding the progress and surveys for the North Carolina Railroad which would cover 223 miles. The Board of Directors ordered that necessary contracts for the various needs be made, with construction to be competed by January 1, 1854.
