Head quarters, August 25, 1777 : Sir, A messenger is just arrived with the inclosed letters from General Arnold and Colonel Gansevoort .

Series of correspondence regarding various military issues between August 23-28, 1777. The correspondents were Major Horatio Gates, Colonel Peter Gansevoort, General Benedict Arnold, all letters were sent to John Hancock, President of Congress.
