Contributors included many of the prominent clerical writers of New England. Much attention is given to the missionary activities of the Presbyterian and Congregational churches and also among its contents are theological articles, a few literary reviews, a public affairs section, religious news, listings of new publications, sermons, biographical sketches, and obituaries.
