| Item Description: | Volume tightly bound. Printing shows-through. Leaves 17 & 19 numbered respectively as 2nd 16 & 2nd 18. Preliminary leaves 3, 4, 7, & 8 are numbered. "Impresso en Anuers por Iuan Lacio M.D.LXIII" (at end of 16th preliminary leaf) Another issue has the imprint: En Anvers, Iuan Bellero, 1554. The "traça delas Indias" entitled "Brevia exactaq. totius Novi orbis elusq insularum descriptio recens a Ioan. Bellero edita" is wanting in the present copy. According to Sabin "only found in the Bellero editions and also in his edition of Levinus Appollonius of 1555 and 1557; it is however, found also in copies with imprint of Iuan Steelsio. cf.
