Sumario:1854 Senate bill to elect selectmen from each school district to serve on the Council of Selectmen. The bill delineated the eligibility and procedure for the election, and transferred all duties previously handled by the justices of the County Court to this council. In addition, there was a provision detailing the process to hold an election to grant liquor licenses within the district, excepting all cities and towns.
