An act to enable persons who have settled and made improvements on lands under supposed titles, and otherwise without legal title, who shall be driven out of possession by a legal trial at law, to recover the value of what the estate is made better by such settlement and improvements, from the legal owners of the land ; and to direct the manner of process therein.
