This review began as the Theological Museum [sic: i.e. Medium?] in 1845 at Uniontown, Pennsylvania, with Milton Bird, as editor and publisher. In 1848 Bird took the publication to Louisville. Although suspended during the war, the review was revived at Nashville in 1871, with T. C. Blake as editor. Cf. American periodicals, 1741-1900.
