New-York, Nov. 24, 1783 : the committee appointed to conduct the order of receiving their excellencies Governor Clinton and General Washington, beg leave to inform their fellow-citizens, that the troops, under the command of Major-General Knox, will take possession of the city on the hour agreed on, Tuesday next .
