Cur síos ar an mír:This famous women's magazine, which began as a house organ of Albert McDowell's System of Dressmaking and Tailoring, was at first concerned only with women's fashions, but was later expanded to encompass a variety of material of interest to women. This abundantly illustrated monthly included sections title "Fashion Chat," "The Housewife," "In Motherland," and "Women of All Nations," and offered instructions and patterns for making clothes, information on fashion, advice for housewives and mothers, recipes and luncheon plans, stories, music, some theater news, and much advertising. In 1903 and the years that followed, it added book reviews, poetry, home medical guides, articles on gardening and needlework, some material for children, including children's fashions, and miscellaneous essays. In May, 1937, Delineator, another successful women's magazine, was combined with the Pictorial Review and the title was changed to Pictorial Review combined with Delineator. Cf.
